What we like:

LG’s headline feature is its 5-star energy rating which delivers on its promise. They claim that LG saves up to 30% on electricity bills compared to other non-inverter models. Based on typical usage, this translates to a yearly saving of approximately Rs 1,200 to Rs 1,500. And this fridge makes back its higher upfront price within a period of 3-4 years.

Its smart inverter compressor is the technology behind its efficiency. Its cooling power automatically adjusts according to the food load and outside temperature. More importantly, it’s so quiet that conventional compressors aren’t noticeable even at night.

Its most effective feature is its express freeze feature which is perfect for Indian summers for example when you need chilled drinks at short notice just before the guests arrive, this mode quickly drops the freezer temperature.

LG’s build quality is excellent, and its doors are quite premium. Its shelves are made of tough glass that can comfortably handle heavy loads without cracking.

What could be better:

If you are on a tight budget, this may be a little more as you are paying at least Rs 3,000-5,000 more for the same capacity of whirlpool.

It’s vegetable tray is average, nothing special compared to Whirlpool and Godrej counterparts.
